How many sessions will I need?
Many patients see results after one session; one to three sessions, about a month apart, is typical. That is why we offer a package of three.
Is there downtime?
Little. Treated spots turn darker and flake off over about a week, and mild redness fades within hours to a day or two.
Is Lumecca right for my skin tone?
IPL works best on lighter to light-brown skin. For darker skin tones, Dr. May Kim may suggest a different treatment.
How much does Lumecca cost?
Full face is $400, or $1,000 for 3 sessions. Face and neck is $600, or $1,500 for 3. IPL is cosmetic and not billed to insurance.
How should I prepare?
Avoid tanning and strong sun for a few weeks before and after treatment, and wear sunscreen every day.
