Do I need to fast before my physical?
For the comprehensive blood panel, no food for 8–12 hours beforehand; water is fine. Morning appointments make this easiest.
Is my physical covered by insurance?
Most plans cover one preventive exam a year, often at no cost to you. If we also treat a new or ongoing problem at the same visit, that part may be billed separately. Send us your insurance card and we check first.
Does Medicare cover an annual physical?
Medicare covers an Annual Wellness Visit once every 12 months: a health-risk review, vitals, memory and fall screening, and a prevention plan. It does not include a routine head-to-toe physical. We explain what your plan covers before the visit.
Who will I see?
Dr. May Kim at our Flower Mound clinic, or Dr. Joseph Kim at Flower Mound and Carrollton. Both are board-certified family physicians.
How do I get my results?
Through the patient portal. Your doctor goes over anything that needs follow-up.
